How does shipping work on Furnitured?

Furnitured offers flexible shipping options to make buying and selling furniture easy. Sellers can choose from three shipping methods when listing their items:

1. Pick Up:

The buyer and seller arrange a convenient time and location for collection.
No shipping costs are involved.
Ideal for large or bulky items where delivery is not practical.
We recommend meeting in a safe, public place if possible.

2. Delivery:

If the seller offers delivery, the buyer can choose this option at checkout.
The shipping cost is automatically calculated based on the item's size, weight, and distance.
The buyer pays for delivery at checkout, and the seller is responsible for arranging the shipment.
Tracking details (if available) should be shared with the buyer once the item is dispatched.

3. Free Shipping:

The seller includes shipping in the item price and covers the delivery cost.
This option makes listings more attractive to buyers.
The seller must arrange for safe and timely shipping.

Additional Notes:

Buyers can see the available shipping options on each listing.
Sellers should clearly state their preferred shipping method when creating a listing.
Once an order is confirmed, sellers must ship the item within the agreed timeframe.
We encourage sellers to use reliable courier services for deliveries.
